My good friend Manuel brought his work into my studio this week. We spent a few hours together working on our paintings. I have long been a fan of his work! I truly respect him as an artist and as a person. The pictures I have attached to this blog will give you a small look into his process. He painted on the floor of my studio. These particular paintings are seen to me as sculptural landscapes. I was lucky enough to pick three for my birthday. I find his work and process to be deep and very thought out. I have a collection of his work! I invite you to visit his work at http://manuelangeja.com/ and begin your own collection as well!
I will be away from the studio for a few days. I will be in Maryland visiting my partner’s family. Until then do something fun and play!

These two videos were created at Holderness School, N.H. The theme of this “Artward Bound” program was “Culture of Creativity”. They walked away from this class asking questions about process, the deeper meaning of art and the importance of art in today society. I hope you enjoy watching the videos as much as we enjoyed creating them.

The colorful images you see are from a recent collaboration between two artist. Yako440, is a New York based artist and I am a California based artist. East Coast/West Coast Unite! Yako and I both met during Graduate School at Goddard College. What you see is are two unique developed styles creating one panting! The visual dance between Yako marks and mine are magical. We made a great team. We plan on working together again in the future! Perhaps the next video will take place in New York! I have always admired his work and his passion. I feel honored that I was able to collaborate with Yako; he is an artist whose heart is in the right place. Thank you Yako for coming out to California, you rock my world!
